ABOUT ASUNDER

ASUNDER FILMS is a new film production company specialising in the production of quality independent feature films and documentaries. Replacing Genre Salon Films started by writer, producer and director, Patrick Astwood, ASUNDER will initially focus on developing distinctive narrative content that can be achieved on micro or low-budgets, for maximum return. Passionately believing that micro and low-budget does not have to equate to poor quality, the aim of ASUNDER is to develop bold storylines and only work with the most qualified people both in front of, and behind camera, to create outstanding work. Films that can be successfully exhibited and sold in the international marketplace. 

Patrick Astwood is a screenwriter and filmmaker with 15 years’ experience. A passionate independent filmmaker, he wrote, produced and directed his first feature film, ‘The Brink’ in 2007, and it premiered at the Berlinale in 2008. Since then, he has focused on writing and content development. Frustrated by the lack of funding and opportunities for minority filmmakers, ASUNDER aims to develop projects for film and TV, outside the mainstream, and to challenge ‘the status quo’.
